Hello All!

Yes, that was a crazy 2020. I hope you’re all well.

In this call, we have a Publisher’s Clearing House impersonator. This scam seems so far-fetched. In fact, I just looked them up to determine if they still give all this money away. Oops – I spelled their name as “clearinghouse” in the video captions and I don’t want to re-publish the video for that reason alone. Anyway, supposedly yes, Publisher’s Clearing House does still run their sweepstakes. So I suppose some people fall for this scam. As much as I love capturing these scammers and sharing the calls with you, it’s sobering to realize that plenty of people are scammed out of their money by these jerks.

Two robots work together in this call to waste the time of two scammers. Jolly Jenny handles the first one, and then she hands the call to Whiskey Jack around the same time “the manager” gets on the phone. Finally, after about 12 minutes, “the manager” realizes it’s a robot and he has a few words with Whiskey Jack. Of course, Whiskey Jack doesn’t care.

By the way, February 1st, 2021 will be the FIVE YEAR anniversary of Jolly Roger Telephone’s accidental notoriety. Some of you reading this have been with me from the very beginning. I’m just a humble quiet telephone tech and these last five years have been absolutely crazy. I want to sincerely thank you for listening to these goofy recordings. And I want to thank those of you who subscribe to the Jolly Roger Telephone company’s service. With your help, we have processed over FIVE MILLION calls and wasted thousands of hours of telemarketer time. If you’re tired of telemarketers calling your phone, check out our service and we can turn that frustration into entertainment.

As always, thanks so much for listening!

Roger
