The video mentions that using the voicemail gives the best experience. Not mentioned though, is whether one needs voicemail to score calls. I’m using Project Fi which allowing me to change the voicemail number, but strangely it has no effect on my phone service.

The Jolly Roger voicemail service doesn’t have to be set up for the app to score phone calls.

Can you explain further what’s going on with your Project Fi number? My guess: You tried to set up voicemail and the changes aren’t taking effect. Please let me know if I’ve got that right.
