Happy 2019 to all!

In January 2018, Jolly Jenny recorded a New Year’s Bot (we were trying to get mentioned on Lifehacker.com, but alas, it didn’t work out).

Anyway, we hope these seasonal bots will become traditions with the Jolly Roger Telephone community. If you use the Jolly Roger service (and I hope you do!), you may have heard the Jolly Jenny New Year bot take some of your calls. There are thousands of calls per day so it’s tough to go through them and find the good ones (I’ll talk more about this in Episode 19 of my podcast) so I apologize I don’t have more calls to post for you.

This is an offshore pharmacy scam. It’s a common scam and you probably know all about it. If you’re new to this, it’s exactly what you’d think. These offshore scammers pitch whatever pills they think you need to get your credit card number. Unfortunately, lots of people must fall for this. This call lasts almost 10 minutes, which prevents him from calling a lot of numbers during that time.

And Jolly Jenny always cracks me up. The *real* Jolly Jenny is NOTHING like this. I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff.

Thanks for listening!
