Hello All! I am posting this call on the eve of my Shark Tank appearance, which will be on March 10th, 2019.

This particular call is your typical “credit card scammer” who entices the vulnerable to give out their credit card numbers. This telemarketer sounds quite savvy and well practiced. It breaks my heart to think of the victims of this crime and I’m glad Whitey had a chance to waste some of his time. Of course, I don’t have metrics for THIS particular person but I like to think Whitey’s new “Artificial Stupidity” kept him on the line longer than your typical call. As you listen, you’ll hear that Whitey detects the scam and uses this knowledge to waste even more time.

Let me know if any of you are interested in some “behind the scenes” info about the bots and how they are getting better at this. To give you a hint, we are now using IBM Watson, which isn’t particularly cheap at our current volume level. We could sure use your help spreading the word about Jolly Roger Telephone so we can scale this up and make better use of Watson!

I always want to reiterate that I’m just your humble telephone repair man. I started this service to protect my phone line at home after a telemarketer swore at my 14-year-old son. I love your telephones, and I am so honored to provide this service to protect you and fight telemarketing. Thank you so much for your support, kind words, and help spreading the word! Let’s disrupt unsolicited telemarketing together!

Thanks for listening!
